Part 1
Five Jewish Liturgical Prayers
(composed and arranged by Ken Corneille)
L’chu N’ran’na
Come, let us sing joyously to Adonai,
Raise a shout for our rock and deliverer;
Let us come into God’s presence with praise;
Let us raise a shout for God in song!
For Adonai is a great God,
The great ruler of all divine beings.
R’tzei Adonai Eloheinu
Find favor, Adonai, our God, with your people Israel and accept their prayer in love.
May the worship of your people Israel always be acceptable.
God who is near to all who call, turn lovingly to your servants.
Pour out your spirit upon us.
Yism’chu
Those who keep Shabbat by calling it a delight will rejoice in your realm.
The people that hallow Shabbat will delight in your goodness.
For, being pleased with the seventh day, You hallowed it
As the most precious of days, drawing our attention to the work of creation.
V’al Kulam
For all these things, O sovereign,
let your name be forever praised and blessed.
O God, our redeemer and helper, let all who live affirm You
and praise your name in truth,
Blessed are you, Adonai, Your name is goodness,
and you are worthy of thanksgiving.
Shachar Avakesh’cha
At dawn I seek You, my rock and stronghold;
I place before You my morning and evening prayers.
Before your greatness I stand in awe, for your eye sees all my thoughts.
What can heart and tongue do, and what is my spirit’s strength within me?
Behold, our human song will gain your favor.
Therefore I will affirm You while yet your spirit lives within me.

Ich Habe Genug
Part 1
I ask for no more, in peace I depart. Mine eyes have beheld Him, have seen Thy salvation,
the hope and the Savior of all creation. Mine eyes have beheld that salvation he has prepared.
And in my arms with rejoicing, Have taken my Savior: in peace I depart!
Part 2
I ask for no more, for I am wholly Thine, O Jesus Is that I may call Thee mine.
By faith am I sustained, that I may know, like Simeon,
The joy that lies in heaven yonder. Ah, let us be like Simeon!
Yea, Lord, from these my body’s irksome fetters, do Thou, now free me.
Oh, that my parting soon may be, with joy declaring, World to Thee:
In peace I depart!
Part 3
Close ye now, ye weary eyelids, softly rest on weary eyelids.
World, with thee I would not stay, far from thee I would away,
Care behind me, rest to find me. Slumber on.
Misery is here and wailing, there is peace and rest unfailing,
Blessed rest and perfect peace.
Part 4
Oh Lord, when may my troubles cease? When may I from this world be flying?
My body in the cool earth lying; When, safe with Thee, may I find peace?
With Thee, O Lord, would I dwell. World, farewell!
Part 5
All joyous I, this day to die! Ah, tarry not, come, death, and find me.
For with thee would I now go,
For with thee would I now go, leaving this world of woe behind me.
Come death and find me.
